1996 WEEKDAY “CD Showcase”

WBKE 89.5 FM, N MANCHESTER IN

Show Information

MONDAYS & FRIDAYS, 12p-1p

When the last semester of my senior year started Spring 1996, I realized my schedule was fairly light. So, I asked if I could host radio shows during the week. At 1st, the station manager (rightly so!) gave others a chance, since I already broadcast 3 hours, Saturday evenings. But, several afternoon timeslots remained open, & I grabbed 2. While I was able to play records & tapes in the studio, since the weekday shows were 1 hour long, I opted to only bring CDs to play; thus, the name of the show, which continues today for my radio show history.

OUTLINE

BEGINNING REMARKS:
From studios high atop the Communications Building on the Manchester College campus, welcome to “CD Showcase”. I’m your host, Cort Stevens. For the next hour, I’ll be showcasing some of the best country music offers.
The request line is 982-5272.
I’m here every Monday & Friday from 12 to 1 & on the “Saturday Evening Mostly Country Music Show” 7-10.
& now, kicking off the hour is….

ENDING REMARKS:
Thanks for listening to “CD Showcase” to start your afternoon. Take care & we’ll talk to you over the airwaves again soon….
