2024 “CD Showcase”
WRMN 1410 AM, ELGIN IL
Show Information
Since my time on Huntley Community Radio in 2019, I considered other broadcasting options, including a podcast. In early 2024, I became aware my hometown radio station had new ownership. A query to Sales Manager Leah Unser led to learning more local programming was wanted.
Meetings in the 2nd quarter of 2024 led to a contract signed in July, with an appearance on a broadcast 07/10/2024 ahead of the planned start of my show Saturday, 07/13/2024. I also had purchased several Elgin Downtown Neighborhood Gift Certificates to give away. I was pumped & ready to go, but changes & updates at WRMN (including Leah’s departure) delayed the re-debut.
After several communications, I stopped at WRMN to see Dennis “Sonar” Greene on Friday, 08/30/2024. We discussed plans for the show & confirmed the re-debut date: Saturday, 09/07/2024. Then, Dennis called me early afternoon, Friday, 09/06/2024, to discuss a delay to 09/14/2024, partially due to WRMN’s live broadcast of the America’s First Responders Fest in S Elgin IL; with more time to finish some updates & get back onto social media (“universe unfolding as it should”), I agreed.
My excitement to return to the airwaves via my hometown radio station every Saturday, a new edition of my radio show history, is indescribable, with a library of music to go ~10 shows without repeating an artist! The show information from each LIVE broadcast is below the list of easy-reference “quick links”. I appreciate you joining me on this musical journey “…because a song remembers when.”
